It was crazy. Period. It was also the first year my friends and i got the bright idea to commute ourselves (takes us about half an hour to get to the Hyatt), rather than bug our parents, and we had about 16 people going (A mix of people who's first time this was, and people who've gone once before. Or, in my case, twice before.)...so.. it was crazy. But, i don't think i've ever had so much fun! (so, this might be kinda lengthy.... )

Thursday: It was tiring. Some of us went to get our badges, and those of us that had pre-reg'ed waited in line for about 1 hour, while the rest ended up staying in for... well, longer than an hour. We ended up going home at 10... but, we got our Pillows Concert tickets, so, it was all good. ^^ My friend Jess and i were cosplaying Mio and Mayu (or trying to, anyway) from Fatal Frame 2.

Friday: Kukukuku.. i got to miss school. ^^ AND I was cosplaying as Hinata Hyuuga. Anyway, FIRST thing we did, was go the Opening Ceremonies... half-way through. But, that was cool, and when we got out, we skipped off to go in seperate directions, and got stopped for pictures several times (Mainly because my friend Mandy was dressed as Meroko --; ). I wondered off in to the exhibit hall with two of the others for a little shopping spree (I got a Gaara plushie!), and stayed there for near...oh, 2 hours? I love looking at all the booths. ^^ Oh, at this point, ahhh... my friends and I encountered Chris (ACenGuy Masamune) who, apparently recognized us from last year by my voice? THAT was cool!! ^^ Later, when we were joined up by the rest of our entourage, we got ready to go the concert. SWEK was an awesome opening band, and their choice of songs was just as awesome. Then we were ushered out for the next set up, and then back in for The Pillows concert... which, i have got to say, was just... WOW. There was just such energy, and emotion, and a real vibe, and... jeez, i'm just going to babble if i try to describe it. It was simply amazing. And then, we got an encore. XD (*twitches* i ALMOST caught the guitar pick! ALMOST!) We got home late, fell asleep at 2AM.

Saturday: Cosplayed as an SnJ for Gaara, annnd.. well, a sorta Inner Hinata. Woke up at 5:30AM, got ready to go, dragged two others with us to go, got at the con at 9:30AM, went to photoshoots, did some shoppiiinngg... i hadn't gone to any of the panels or autograph session i had planned to go to, but i ended up seeing Dale of SWEK and Greg Ayres along the way back and forth from the Hotel to the Convention Center, and got their autographs and pictures with them! YAY! ^^

So, anyway, later, i ran to the bathroom to change in to my Inner Hinata outfit and we were on our way to get in line for the masquerade, but, just our luck (and my friend's balance) on our way down the street, our friend Justin tripped and sprained his ankle! ARG! *cue mother hen mode* We scrambled to get him in to the hotel where the IRT helped us; his ankle was really swollen... *winces*. So, while the others got in line, some of us sat next to the doors that revolved, closest to where the ballrooms were, keeping him company since he couldn't go see the Masq. Or so we thought... Justin had asked me and my friend Kayla to go buy him something to drink, when we came back, everyone wasn't there! Turns out.. i think the Head of Security, i think it was? Saw them, and let them in AND gave them priority seating. Kayla and i were vouched for when we came back. XDD So, we got in ten minutes early before the others were let in, which was pretty sweet. ^^ When the masq actually started, it was absolutely NUTS (This was actually our first masq). So much disco-ing and dancing at the beginning, followed by awesome costumes and sketches, then MORE dancing and a conga line and YMCA while we waited for the judge's decision! Hahahaa, that was an awesome random dance party! Not bad for a first masquerade. We had a little panic attack afterwards with rides and getting Justin home, but it was all cool, and went to the SoapBubble for a bit. Got home at 2AM and fell asleep.

Sunday: Got there at.... like 9AM. Didn't do much, outside of walk around, shopping (that seems to be a pattern with us...), wasted film, met more people and talked to random other fans, and went to closing ceremonies. It was a little depressing and, in the end, exhaustion just seemed to take over, but, that's all right. We had fun. ^^

Lessons learned?: Anything bad that can happen WILL happen, but it usually turns out good in the end. And, getting a hotel room is a really good idea.

Q: What do you call someone who goes to a convention?

A: A con-goblin.

Q: How many con-goblins can you fit in a con-shower?

A: At least 6.

So, when our small party of four got to our room on Friday, we thought it was pretty spiffy. "Hey, nice shower..." and of course inevitably, "I wonder how many people we can fit in it?" So, of course we talked about asking people to get in our shower for a picture, which we didn't actually pursue, until my sister who is a bit more extroverted than the rest of us heard some people out in our hallway on the way to their room on Saturday night and decided to yell the proposal at them. I only heard them say, "Hey, these people want us to get in their shower..." And, so we got four strangers to get in our shower... they also had a guy in a gorilla suit with them, but he wouldn't fit :P

My sister and I also crammed in with them. So, it was six people, with my sister and I squished in the back, everyone in full cosplay, a sword and a shield, some reluctance/suspicion on their part, and wet shower. Yup, it even had swimming trunks hanging over the rail. Here is a link to the picture: [see picture below]

So, my challenge to you all is to try to beat six con-goblins in a con-shower. I think our personal rules will be that they have to all be strangers, in costume, and a wet shower, otherwise it's just too easy!

We did a bunch of other retarded/fun stuff like making our own card game and handing out pocky and an invite to play to people who asked what the hell we were doing, but I'm not writing a novel here!
