01 | GO SPORTS!!
As we entered the wonderful land of comic conventions we were greeted with this sign. The sign is most likely left over from another event at McCormick Place, but my God is the irony amazing! What we attended this cold Saturday afternoon in March couldn't be further from a Sports-Fest. It would be a magical few hours of people dressed up as comic characters and indulging in nerdom of all flavors to it's fullest extent. This my friends, it C2E2!

After wandering around forever we finally found the actually convention. McCormick Place is freakin’ huge! It was a shame to see so little going on throughout the convention since it had such a monstrous venue. Oh well. This picture is pretty amazing though. It seems like a cover for a Boucher or something. I like how the logo pops out in the center and looks like it was photo shopped in. You can see the crowd that was roaming the halls. You can also see how few cosplayers there were. Just normal everyday nerds in their nerdy shirts looking for nerdy things to do. Which is fine and all, it just doesn’t make for good photos.

This was the dealers room, or exhibit hall, or artist alley… whatever the hell you want to call it. This was the place where you buy lots of overpriced stuff. As you can tell it is pretty darn crowded. This is where everyone seemed to find themselves at the con, including ourselves. Lots of cosplayers and cool things to buy, but unfortunately little room to photograph and browse.

Alright, cosplayers! Here we have the Flash and Supergirl. They seem to be wearing leftover Halloween costumes. Well, I suppose they pulled it off. Ya know ‘cause their attractive, and when you’re attractive you can do whatever you want. Even cop out and wear Halloween costumes to express your fandom.

05 | I See You... and your peeling paint
The world loves Avatar! … for some reason. I don’t. Not to say I hate it, but it just didn’t “wow” me. Anyway I’m sure you don’t want to hear yet another rant about how overrated the film was. This costume was pretty impressive. It’s unfortunate that by the time I got to photograph her the body paint began peeling off of her body. That is if it is even paint. It looks to close to the skin to be anything else. Then again there seem to be runs going up the leg up to the torso. I’m just going to keep going with paint because I think that’s fucking awesome!

You can’t have any sort of convention without at least one Star Wars cosplayer. And thank God for it! I love this guy as Count Dooku. There is something about the intensity of that stare that’s… well that’s almost hypnotic. He could tell me to do anything and I would. What’s that Dooku?… You want me to give up everything I know and go live with you by the lake on Naboo?… I don’t know I… Oh who am I kidding I can’t resist that rugged old man peppermint smell. Just let me get my lube.

Alright let’s get this out of the way. ::ahem:: AWWWWWWW! It’s Chewy! He’s so cuddly and tall! I just want to curl up on him and let his Wookie breath whisk me away into a deep sleep. … Alright. This guy was freakin’ tall! He had to have been on stilts or something. It was still pretty God damn impressive though, every else seemed to think so too. Since I was unable to get a picture of him without others posing with him. Fuck the force, the power of the Wookie is much stronger.

10 | What do ACen Guys do!?
… we sit around playing Pokemon on our DS gaming devices. We couldn’t find a whole lot to do and the cosplayers were scarce outside of the Spend-All-Your-Money-Hall-of-HELL. So we sat down and gathered our plans. As you can see on the right Znatch was a tremendous help. He better have been working on catching me a Trubbish or else I’m going to be pissed.
