01 - Blurred and Documented

So here we are! AnimeIowa ’07, for our very first time. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this convention. I had heard many things, mostly positive, but I am always hesitant of traveling so far for small conventions. So much money leaving my pocket for such little gain. The very first thing anyone notices about a convention is its location - for obvious reasons. The hotel can make or break the convention experience. Well this hotel did nothing but add on to it. This picture is oddly quite symbolic of my experience at Iowa. It was breathtaking in a scenic sense and it all seemed like a wonderful, albeit hazy, dream. In short – it was all a beautiful blur.

Holy balls; It’s AnimeIowa! I had a surprising amount of fun and memories at this convention. Even though the majority of the interesting panel programming was unfortunately cut and rearranged, the convention held together well; probably because of the nicer side of the staff and the beautiful atmosphere. The hotel was simply amazing.The people were nice, and the hotel staff was surprisingly accommodating. And those darned Iowans are a hoot!

Oh my god, is that ACen Guy Jimjitsu and a sock puppet! Also featured is Megafriend Magoo.

Which reminds me; Why did Iowa make the 21+ badges so badass with their Guitar Hero Punk Rockin Pig? Why was I punished for not being 21 with a Sesshoumaru Pig …Fucking InuYasha. …fucking sesshi pig. …sorry.
