These are all 416 pictures taken by the ACen Guys at ACen 2004. Now there are many repeats and crappy pictures this year so be wary before you start your journey. As before every picture has a commentary from ACen Guy Brown (Matt) and occasional comments by ACen Guy EricB (Eric), ACen Gal Jill (Jill), ACen Guy Jimjitsu (Jim), ACen Guy Ronin (Joe), ACen Guy Masamune (Chris), ACen Guy Neal (Neal), and ACen Guy Zeltron (Bob). TAKE 2 - Here she is again, this time with her hood on. This picture was taking around the time when we were got off the elevator and there was some guy who came up to me and said "Hey are you ACen Guy Brown?" I told him that I was and he starting saying "Oh wow, Dude you're my Hero". Then he asked for a picture with me. We would have a picture of this encounter if Eric had taken the picture but something was going wrong with the camera or something and he didn't get it. So person that took that picture with me if you are out there please send me a copy.

Ok so we finally got out of the hotel to go get something to eat and we got to the top floor of the parking garage and these people in this picture started yelling out "Hey Megaman" to Jim who was in his Megaman costume. At this point I took a picture because I thought it was cool that they were getting all excited about a Megaman cosplayer. But then they yelled at me "Hey Nabeshin" thinking I was the guy with the fro from Excel Saga. Now I could understand the confusion of this Nabeshin is a parody of the character Lupin and thus they have similar costumes. But this was at a point where I was getting sick and tired of being mistaken for Nabeshin. So they started yelling "Go fro" and similar things... I just stopped turned to them and started to yell. My yelling rant went something like this "NABESHIN! NABESHIN! Does it look like I have a freakin' fro? I am freakin Lupin! Excel Saga is one of the biggest piece of crap anime series ever made! Why the fuck would I dress up like some stupid ass character that pulls freakin' guns from his hair, I am Lupin Damn it!"... anyway I walked off and got into the car, we ended up driving by them as we left and through they crack in my window I heard them say "Hey Lupin", this made me happy. I kept getting mistaken for Nabeshin the rest of the con, guess its my own fault cosplaying Lupin in the year of like 80 Nabeshin cosplayers.

I'd like to point out for the record that the timing was impeccable. After repeated shouts to me about my Megaman costume, Matt said something like, "Oh sure, they notice a good megaman costume, but how about me? I'm cosplaying too!" and that's when the shouts came for Nabeshin.. Awesome.. so sweet to taste and hear...

So anyway we went to McDonalds for dinner. We brought the camera with just so we could that this picture of Megaman pondering what to eat of the value menu. This is a great picture, he is just standing and pondering "hmmm... what should Megaman consume?"

I was trying really hard to keep a straight face here.. It was a blast. Public cosplaying is a fun like no other.

This was freaking hilarious.

Megaman orders his feast! I was suprised that no one at McDonalds was shocked by him being in a Megaman costume. I guess they just saw a lot of cosplayers during the day since it was so close to the con.

I'm still a little upset they didn't have a combo meal with an "M" Energy Tank, but, you win some and lose some.

So we finished our food and we were heading out when this guy stopped us and started arguing with Jim about how Zero was better than Megaman or something. Jim of course defended Megaman and they fought for like 5 minutes, it was a pretty heated in depth debate too. When it all was over Jim walked away and said to the people he just was having this big heated argument with "Goodbye Megafriends" in his most cheerful voice. I dunno why but this had all of us laughing our asses off on the way out. I suppose it was one of those "you had to be there" things, but it was just so funny, we still see each other and greet one another with "Hello Megafriend". We ended up using the phrase so much during the con that we called 2004 "Year of the Mega-Friends", not because we were all megafriends but because it was our most used phrase at the con.

This guy started with "Hey Megaman, you're a loser, Zero is so much cooler" and I defended myself, clearly pointing out that Zero had shiny green gem nipples, long flowing blonde hair, fake broad square shoulders to look more manly, and majorly overcompensated for soemthing by having a four foot z-sword... His retaliation was "How come you haven't been in a game for years then if you're cooler?" and I said something along the lines of the fact that Capcom got their contracting messed up, I drank a few too many mega-beers and let myself go a little.. It kept going but got stupid, I won.. he didn't think so, so I wished him a farewell, "GOODBYE MEGAFRIENDS" and we all nearly shat ourselves in laughter. Something about being in a Megaman suit makes everything funnier.
