Welcome to our coverage of Anime Central 2006! This was our 4th year covering the convention and what an amazing year it was! Now don’t get me wrong we have had our ups and downs with how ACen was run over the years. Not this year though, this year was almost perfect. They really surprised the hell out of us by pulling everything together. Last year the halls were crowded, the lines were long and disorganized, and worst of all it wasn’t really all that exciting. This year they pulled a 360 and fixed it all up. The crowds were controlled, the lines were reasonable, and it was the most exciting year at the con since 2003! It was like it got a fresh new coat of awesome!

The cosplayers were abundant as well, more so than any other convention I’ve been too. They were fucking everywhere! You couldn’t turn your head without seeing people dressed up as someone from Final Fantasy, FullMetal Alchemist, or assorted the assorted Narutards. I would also like to say to whoever invented the phrase narutard - I owe you a hand job.

This year we got 322 pictures for you, and for the most part they turned out pretty ok. Although we actually took a lot more than that, I believe it was around 500 and something. Yep that’s right, we broke our policy for the first time ever, and we didn’t post every picture we took. We were just sick of getting complaints about how our pictures were flooded of images of ourselves. So we trimmed most of them out, as well as repeat pictures, and ones that were so blurry you couldn’t make them out. But keep in mind this site is still called “ACen Adventures” and we did keep pictures with us. They’re just a lot more pointful this time around. And worry not folks, if we got a picture of your cosplay then we sure as hell posted it up for ya. We have also added some new features. If we took a picture of the same cosplay twice, instead of deleting it we have added a link next to the picture that will lead you to the second one (or third, or forth, ect.). We also added the days of the week to the top navigation. So now you can just browse the day you wore your costume to find it, instead of going through all the pictures. We some buttons to the top of the pages so it’s easier to navigate as well.

So go ahead, take a gander at our pictures and worship. Then maybe stop by our forums and leave a comment, or check us out on MySpace, or if you really love us then you can buy something from our store. Then maybe you too will get a hand job… right after the Narutard guy.
